MPS announces appointment of new financial and operations directors

Introducing Marshall School District’s New Director of Operations and Finance Director

In exciting news for Marshall Public Schools, two new employees were introduced at the recent school board meeting. Tricia Stelter and Sarah Kirchner will be joining the district in key roles starting in July.

Tricia Stelter, the new director of operations, is no stranger to MPS. With 18 years of experience in the district office as the executive assistant to the superintendent, Stelter brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new position. After spending two years away from MPS to broaden her operational skills, she is eager to return and contribute to the district once again.

Sarah Kirchner, the new finance director, comes to MPS with a strong background in finance and management. With seven years as a fiscal manager for Southwest Health and Human Services and three years as CEO of Prairie Home Hospice and Community Care, Kirchner is well-equipped to handle the financial responsibilities of the district. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to join the team and is excited to get started.

The addition of Stelter and Kirchner to the MPS staff comes after the decision to split the business services director position into two roles due to the workload. Superintendent Jeremy Williams expressed confidence in both new hires and their ability to contribute to the district’s success.

As the new school year approaches, the Marshall community can look forward to the leadership and expertise that Stelter and Kirchner will bring to their respective roles. With their dedication and experience, the future looks bright for Marshall Public Schools.
