SeAH Group to Invest $110 Million in New Temple Facility, Bringing Over 100 Jobs to Central Texas

The future looks bright for Temple, Texas, as a new $110 million investment from South Korean company SeAH Group is set to bring over 100 new jobs to the area. Governor Greg Abbott made the exciting announcement during a press conference in Seoul, South Korea, showcasing the state’s appeal to global businesses.

The investment from SeAH Group will result in the creation of a high-performance metal manufacturing facility in Temple. Construction on the new facility is expected to kick off in the third quarter of 2024, with commercial production slated to begin in early 2026. This development marks a significant milestone as it will be the first alloy manufacturing facility established in the U.S. by a South Korean company.

Governor Abbott expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting Texas as a top choice for business expansion. He stated, “Texas is the premier destination for business growth, which is why companies from across the globe continue to choose our state to expand their operations.” The governor looks forward to welcoming SeAH Group’s new manufacturing facility to Texas and anticipates further investments and job opportunities for the state.

SeAH Changwon Integrated Special Steel Co-CEO Junghoon “Jay” Lee also shared his excitement about the venture, emphasizing Texas as a valuable partner in their U.S. expansion. The company sees great potential in the North American market and aims to contribute positively to the Texas community.

The Temple Economic Development Corporation (Temple EDC) revealed that the manufacturing site will span 45 acres in Temple’s Industrial Park, located off Moores Mill Road. This strategic location will further boost the city’s economic growth and solidify its position as a hub for industrial development.
